Civil War Replica Field Desks

While not copied from any one example of Civil War desks, our field desk is similar to those used in that period.

It is made of 1" white pine, lightly stained and treated with 2 coats of Linseed Oil. There is a tray to hold a bottle of ink (not included) and 2 drawers for stamps, coins, or pen nibs. The handles for the tray and drawers are made from walnut and parts of drawers that are oak. All hardware is steel and treated to look authentic Civil War Period. All screws are slotted and there are a total of 15 different compartments.

The desk, when closed measures approximately 17"high, 21" wide and 12" deep. The front drops down to be used as a writing surface.

Built with cut nails. finish nails and exterior carpenter's glue, this desk is sturdy, functional  and easy to carry.
